Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with proven leadership skills and the ability to handle complex financial tasks. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the accounting department and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and financial reporting.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Prepare and review financial statements budgets and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
Manage and mentor a team of accountants providing guidance and support to ensure the departments efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances and make recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and proper allocation of expenses.
Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial statements.
Stay uptodate with changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary changes in the accounting processes and procedures.
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field. Masters degree is a plus.
CPA or equivalent certification is required.
At least 8 years of experience in a similar role preferably in a multinational company.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
