Assistant In - Research Biostatistics

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position will conduct collaborative research and provide active support for ongoing Institute activities, especially the TrialNet type 1 diabetes study. Opportunities exist for collaborations in other NIH funded and privately funded type 1 diabetes research and disease prevention projects.
• This position will require the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and have good communication skills. Requirements include skills in data analysis, interest and enthusiasm to learn new statistical methods, and fluency in SAS.
  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

MINIMUM:

• Candidates must have earned a Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of related professional experience. Consistent with university guidelines, qualifying experience and/or training may substitute for the degree requirement for some positions assigned to this class.
  

PREFERRED:

• Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in applying statistical methods in large population-based studies, analysis of longitudinal data, manipulation of high-dimensional data, and/or analyses of genetic or correlative biomarker data.
