As a Solution Design Architect (SDA) team we strive to offer our clients a premium experience: combining the trusted Cisco brand with highly skilled and experienced individuals offering years of industry exposure and market understanding to provide a custombuilt portfolio of services tailored to our clients specific needs.
We are currently looking for a Solution Design Architect (Advisory SDA) who will act as technology strategists to support our clients in achieving greater business value from technology by delivering services ranging from technology strategy development to cloud migration planning or even wholly repositioning IT for the digital era. As an Advisory SDA you will play a pivotal role in growing our advisory business in one of the most strategic markets for the company.
We assist clients in aligning the business and technology agendas as well as identifying areas where innovation can drive business value. This work includes optimising the technology budget and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the technology organisation through repositioning or redesigning the technology functions and by assessing and optimising operational processes.
You will typically
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve booking targets. Stay informed about industry trends competitor activities and market dynamics to inform sales strategies.
  • Business Development: drive growth of our Advisory business in Middle East & Africa prepare and deliver presentations and workshops to showcase how the advisory services can address the customers challenges improve their business outcomes and provide a competitive advantage.
  • Client Engagement: Identify and engage with potential clients understanding their strategic goals and challenges. Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to expand our advisory services.
  • Customer Requirements Gathering: understand customers business imperatives pain points and requirements through meetings interviews and workshops.
  • Solution Development: Collaborate with our advisory delivery team to craft innovative and customized solutions for clients. Present and articulate advisory offerings demonstrating a clear understanding of how they address client needs.
  • Proposal Development: develop a comprehensive proposal for the proposed advisory services solution outlining the scope of work deliverables timelines pricing and any other relevant terms and conditions.
  • Proposal Socialization: help the customer understand the technical aspects of the proposed advisory services solution and the potential impact on their business processes.
  • Customer Intimacy and Trust: establish trust and credibility by demonstrating deep knowledge of the customers industry challenges and desired outcomes.
  • Collaboration with internal teams: collaborate with various internal teams such as advisory sales delivery and technical experts to ensure a cohesive and effective approach in selling advisory services.
About You
  • Candidates with a bachelors degree combined with extensive experience in the relevant field. Masters degree with strong academic results or an MBA would be a plus.
  • Over 12 years of experience from other consultancy or technology driven organisations covering:
  • Exposure to multiple segments (Enterprises Governments and Service Providers)
  • Experience with multiple technologies (networking cloud IoT Smart Buildings/Cities)
  • Strong consulting toolkit and experience.
  • Experience in clientfacing roles and building client relationships with CSuite Executives.
  • Excellent written verbal and presentation skills in the English language with additional languages a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF CCAr CCDP CISSP AWS/MS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in solution design with a focus on large and complex opportunities.
  • Ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge/Experience of Saudi/Middle East Market is desirable.
  • A desire to multitask and flexibility in terms of travel.

When available the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire fulltime salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations not including equity or benefits. For nonsales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidates hiring location and additional factors including but not limited to skillset experience and relevant education certifications or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical dental and vision insurance a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution short and longterm disability coverage basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year which includes one floating holiday plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performancebased incentive pay on top of their base salary which is split between quota and nonquota components. For quotabased incentive pay Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For nonquotabased sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
