Job Description Fabricator (Structural & Piping)
Job Overview
The Fabricator is responsible for carrying out structural and piping fabrication activities as per approved drawings specifications and safety standards. The role requires hands-on experience in fabrication works drawing interpretation and adherence to quality and workplace discipline especially in industrial and project-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fabrication of structural steel and piping components as per drawings and specifications.
Study and interpret fabrication drawings isometrics GA drawings and sketches accurately.
Carry out cutting fitting assembling and tack welding of materials as required.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper alignment before final welding or dispatch.
Work closely with welders supervisors and site engineers to meet project timelines.
Follow safety rules quality standards and work procedures strictly at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and discipline at the workplace.
Identify fabrication issues and report deviations or material shortages to supervisors.
Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
Support shutdowns maintenance and project fabrication activities when required.
Essential Qualifications
Education: 10th / 2 / ITI (Fitter / Fabrication Trade preferred)
Experience: 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Structural & Piping Fabrication
Age Limit: Below 40 years
Skills & Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of structural steel and piping fabrication
Good drawing study and interpretation skills
Experience in industrial / plant / workshop fabrication environments
Familiarity with fabrication tools cutting machines and measuring instruments
Understanding of basic welding symbols and fit-up requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
