Support to Lead Electrical Engineer
- Provide daily technical support to the Lead Electrical Engineer across all electrical activities of the EPC scope.
- Perform first-pass review of EPC electrical deliverables before escalation to the Lead.
- Maintain discipline tracking sheets cable register MCC feeder lists load list updates TQ logs and interface registers.
Review Support for EPC Electrical Deliverables
Assist with review and comment preparation for EPC submissions:
- Electrical Load List
- Cable Schedule & Cable Routing Layouts
- Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Equipment datasheets (motors heaters UPS panels)
- Power & control wiring diagrams
- Interconnection diagrams
- Earthing & bonding layouts
- MDB/SMDB/MCC feeder details
- Hazardous area electrical drawings
- Highlight deviations from ADNOC standards mismatches in loads incorrect equipment tagging or cable sizing issues.
Electrical Package Engineering Support (Compressors / Dryers / Receivers)
- Review OEM electrical datasheets for motors heaters and control panels.
- Assist in checking motor power requirements starting current and overload protection.
- Validate OEM I/O lists wiring diagrams and terminal plans.
- Compare EPC versus Vendor electrical interface requirements.
- Assist in verification of MCC integration & panel-to-DCS signal routing.
Power System Study Support (Analysis Inputs & Validation)
(Not performing studies independently but providing inputs & reviewing outputs.)
Support the Lead in reviewing:
- Load Flow Study
- Short-Circuit Study
- Motor Starting Analysis
- Relay Coordination Study
- Arc Flash Assessment
- Earthing & Grounding Calculations
- Confirm EPC integrates study results correctly into settings SLDs and equipment specs.
Hazardous Area Verification Support
Assist Lead in confirming compliance with ADNOC/IEC requirements:
- ATEX/IECEx certification for motors junction boxes instruments
- Gas group temperature class suitability
- Cable gland selection and termination methods
- Earthing & bonding compliance
- Ex-rated panel checks
I&C and Electrical Interface Coordination
Work closely with:
- Lead Electrical Engineer
- Lead I&C Engineer
- Compressor/Dryer OEMs
- EPC Electrical/I&C Teams
- ADNOC Operations
Tasks include:
- Preparing electrical interface registers
- Verifying signal/logic crossovers (DCS/ESD vs MCC)
- Supporting review of Cause & Effect relationships
- Ensuring cable routing does not conflict with I&C telecom or structural elements
Support for HSE / Process Safety Workshops
Assist Lead Electrical Engineer in:
- HAZID
- HAZOP
- ENVID
- SIL/LOPA
- SIMOPS discussion
Responsibilities:
- Extract electrical drawings for workshops
- Record discipline action items
- Implement updates into SLDs/cable lists/equipment lists
- Track all action closeouts
3D Model Review Support
- Support model review for cable tray routing panel locations and hazardous area segregation.
- Identify routing clashes space constraints or access issues.
- Generate model snapshots walkdown extracts and markup sheets for Lead review.
- Familiar with AVEVA (E3D/PDMS) and SP3D for basic electrical equipment modelling cable-tray routing clash checking and supporting the extraction of GA drawings cable data IFC and MTO deliverables required for ADNOC design projects.
Construction & Pre-Commissioning Assistance
Provide OE support during installation and MC phase:
- Review cable pulling termination and glanding inspection reports
- Check compliance with torquing insulation resistance (IR) testing continuity testing
- Verify MCC panel installation & feeder labelling
- Validate earthing/bonding connections
- Support loop checks (E&I) energization readiness & pre-startup tests
Vendor Coordination Support
Assist in coordination with:
- Compressor/Dryer OEM
- Switchgear/MCC vendors
- UPS/DB vendors
- EPC electrical installation team
- Track submissions clarifications and TQ status.
As-Built & Red-Line Documentation Support
- Update red-line markups for cable routing panel installations and SLD changes.
- Support verification of EPC as-built electrical documents.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC drawing formats & numbering systems
Qualifications :
- Minimum Experience: 07-10 Years.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- Exposure to Offshore Platforms Projects as part of the experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADNOC Standards & Procedures will be an added advantage.
