General Overview:
We are supporting a client in the search for a Senior Manager Broking professional to play a key leadership role within their reinsurance broking function. Working closely with the Chief Broking Officer this position will drive regional growth strengthen market relationships and enhance placement strategies across assigned territories.
This is a high-impact strategic leadership role suited for an experienced reinsurance professional with strong commercial acumen deep technical expertise and proven people-management capabilities in a fast-paced competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and execute regional broking strategies aligned with business growth and financial objectives.
- Drive new business development portfolio expansion and client acquisition initiatives.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with regional and global insurers and reinsurers.
- Lead the design negotiation and placement of proportional and non-proportional facultative reinsurance programmes.
- Support strategic reinsurer partnerships and effective capacity management.
- Monitor portfolio performance premium growth and placement profitability.
- Provide leadership and guidance to broking teams fostering high performance and technical excellence.
- Collaborate closely with underwriting claims finance compliance and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance competitiveness and market positioning.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance Business Economics or a related field.
- MBA or relevant professional certifications are preferred.
- 10 years of experience in reinsurance broking with demonstrated strategic and commercial leadership.
- Strong technical expertise across reinsurance structures products and global markets.
- Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships with clients reinsurers and internal stakeholders.
- Commercially driven results-oriented mindset with strong negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex portfolios.
- Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
