We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Al Ain United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimations efficient project planning and effective contract administration for various construction projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects including materials labor and equipment.
- Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender documentation.
- Review and evaluate tender submissions from contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of contract documents and procurement strategies.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
- Undertake quantity measurement for inclusion in cost plans estimates and bills of quantities.
- Implement maintain and monitor cost control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide input and support in the preparation and assessment of financial claims.
- Evaluate variations additions and omissions and incorporate findings into monthly cost reports.
- Prepare process and negotiate change orders with clients and contractors.
- Conduct market testing and analyze tender returns to support rate benchmarking.
- Update and maintain the cost database for future reference.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification from a recognized quantity surveying body (e.g. RICS) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of project costing and budgeting.
- Experience in preparing tender documents and contract administration.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in the UAE.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to changing project requirements and industry trends.
