Amazon is seeking an exceptional leader to head our UAE Marketplace organization driving the Selling on Amazon business and developing solutions that enable millions of Selling Partners to succeed. This senior leadership position will have full P&L responsibility and lead an organization of approximately 60 people through senior leaders managing critical product families including Softlines Hardlines Consumer Electronics and Consumables. The ideal candidate will bring innovative thinking in leveraging Generative AI and emerging technologies to transform seller and customer experiences.
Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end Selling Partner experience in UAE including P&L and business development targets
Drive the growth of Amazons third-party business through strategic initiatives and operational excellence
Lead and develop senior leaders who manage specialized teams across key product families (Softlines Hardlines Consumer Electronics and Consumables)
Champion the adoption of Generative AI and innovative technologies to enhance seller operations and customer experience
Influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple organizations to drive business objectives
Partner with business and technical teams to design and build country-specific solutions while ensuring global scalability
Identify and execute new growth opportunities for the Marketplace business
Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand seller performance and implement growth acceleration strategies
Work closely with Category teams to identify and capitalize on category-specific opportunities
Drive continuous improvement in customer and seller experience through technological innovation
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a technical or analytical discipline
- Experience in consulting business development as a business leader with P&L responsibilities or in product management in an international environment
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their business applications
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering technology or business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellence in senior stakeholder management across multiple functional areas and geographic locations
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Experience in e-commerce retail or marketplace businesses
- Background in sales business development or management consulting
- Experience with AI/ML implementations and digital transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of GenAI applications in e-commerce and customer experience
- MBA is a plus
- International business experience
- Track record of building and scaling successful teams
- Experience in managing diverse product categories particularly in Softlines Hardlines Consumer Electronics or Consumables
