About the Role
Our client a well-established MEP contracting firm in the UAE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (MEP) to oversee the full project lifecycle from design and planning to execution and site supervision.
The ideal candidate is already based in the UAE has completed full-cycle MEP or EPC projects and is capable of managing multiple sites consultant coordination and contractor teams. This is a client-facing role requiring technical depth leadership and operational control.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design scope and specifications for assigned MEP projects.
- Oversee project planning procurement and execution across multiple construction sites.
- Review technical drawings and ensure compliance with project timelines budgets and quality standards.
- Liaise with consultants contractors and internal teams to ensure alignment at all stages.
- Supervise the deployment of labour and site supervisors across up to 7 simultaneous projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to materials approvals and contractor performance.
- Use AutoCAD for design markups project schematics and as-built documentation.
- Monitor project costs risks and performance; raise early warnings for delays or cost overruns.
- Interpret contracts and technical clauses; support the legal and commercial team on compliance.
- Ensure health & safety standards are enforced at every site and stage of the project.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of UAE-based experience (8 years preferred) in MEP or EPC projects.
- Must have completed at least one full project cycle (minimum 2-year duration).
- Prefer some one currently in UAE
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and general project design tools.
- Familiarity with contract interpretation BOQs and technical clauses.
- Hands-on experience in procurement site execution and labour deployment.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent construction sites and field teams.
- Must possess a valid UAE driving license.
- PMP Certification is an advantage.
- Candidates must be currently based in the UAE with stable career history.
