General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Management of the design work and construction activities during and complete the project.
- Develop the Project Responsibility Matrix (PRM).
- Primary interface with the PMO (or others as necessary) on contract and administrative matters; provides overall leadership and guidance to the PMC/ project team.
- Provides subject matter expertise primarily in the field of project management.
- Provides functional day-to-day management on behalf of the Company for all project services; accountability and responsibility to manage staff to provide deliverables and the Services as directed by PMO (or others as necessary) and organizes all efforts on behalf of the Company; provides overall quality assurance and implements continuous process improvement.
- Must have experience in civil/transport infrastructure utilities and/or small medium size commercial and/or residential buildings
- Oversee all project stages: initiation planning execution monitoring and closure.
- Develop plans schedules budgets resource allocation and scope management.
- Lead motivate and manage diverse project teams (engineers site staff subcontractors).
- Identify risks implement mitigation and manage scope/change orders.
- Monitor costs and ensure strong financial reporting
- Prepare reports presentations and documentation for senior management clients and authorities
- Attend coordination meetings progress meetings and as well as executive meetings.
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of the construction project; monitor and coordinate work performed by architectural engineering and construction departments.
- Informs them of the relevant Quality Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Policies Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Strong management capabilities in stakeholder relations and risk mitigation
Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline is required.
- Post Graduate education such as an MSC or PHD is highly desired.
- 15 18 or more years of working on complex projects end-to-end within the Construction field and in PMC management roles.
- Must have prior experience working in UAE region in specific working in Al Dhafra region.
- Project management experience in large-scale UAE civil/transport infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to lead negotiate and resolve complex issues
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and construction methods
- Experience delivering projects using FIDIC contracts desirable
- Familiarity with UAE regulations and market dynamics
- Experience in contractual administration.
- Must have on-site Project experience from initial design through to handover and completion.
- Adequate work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to think ahead identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work-related issues.
- Familiar with Design (Space & Functional Analysis Operators/ Client Liaison cross-disciplinary issues/ coordination construction interfaces programming cost etc.).
- Strong Management of large teams and communication.
- Demonstrates a determination desire to succeed and a wish to progress and develop within a commercial role.
- Excellent working knowledge of Word Excel and strong user skill level within MS Office or Primavera.
- Excellent numerical and communication skills.
