Job Title: NDT Inspector
Location: Dubai
Experience: 3 Years
Salary: Depends Upon Experience
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform NonDestructive Testing (NDT) methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Radiographic Testing (RT) Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) and Visual Inspection (VT) to evaluate materials and components for defects and structural integrity.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports documenting test results findings and recommendations.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to determine the type of inspection and testing required.
- Ensure that inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained according to standards.
- Identify material defects cracks corrosion and other potential hazards in structural components welds and machinery.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to assess and rectify any issues discovered during inspections.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards (ASME ASTM ISO etc. and project specifications.
- Assist in developing inspection procedures and methods to improve quality control processes.
- Provide guidance and training to junior inspectors or technicians when needed.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed during inspection processes.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in NDT methods (e.g. ASNT Level II Level III) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in NDT inspection preferably in industries such as oil & gas manufacturing or construction.
- Additional certifications in specific NDT techniques (e.g. UT RT MPI DPT) are preferred.
Skills Required:
- Indepth knowledge of NDT techniques such as UT RT MPI DPT and VT.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings technical documents and specifications.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as ASME ASTM ISO and API.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document defects.
- Good communication skills for generating clear reports and interacting with clients and project teams.
- Proficiency with NDT equipment and testing instruments.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to make critical decisions based on inspection results.
- Ability to work in highpressure environments and manage multiple inspection tasks efficiently.
