About the Client
Our client is a leading contracting organization headquartered in Abu Dhabi delivering large-scale civil and infrastructure projects across the UAE. Operating under a global holding structure the company is recognized for its financial discipline transparency and strong project governance.
Role Overview
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can leverage technology to enhance financial accuracy streamline reporting and support strategic financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Lead mentor and develop the accounting team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA ACCA CMA or equivalent) required.
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in strategic financial planning and budgeting.
- Experience in implementing ERP and automation solutions.
- Experience with compliance and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in the development and construction of building sectors and villa compounds.
