Key Responsibilities Mechanical Planning Coordination & Project Management
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for mechanical engineering projects ensuring timely delivery in line with company objectives.
- Coordinate with engineering production and sales teams to communicate project requirements and align priorities throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements clarify project specifications and secure approvals as needed.
- Monitor and report on project progress resolving scheduling conflicts and implementing corrective actions to address any delays or issues.
- Optimise resource allocation documenting and adjusting plans to accommodate changes in scope or client needs while maintaining efficiency.
- Facilitate risk assessments and mitigation planning to ensure project continuity and safety.
- Support the sales team with technical input during proposal preparation including technical presentations and client consultations.
Required Skills Technical Knowledge Communication & Selling Skills
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering principles processes and best practices.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal enabling clear interaction with clients colleagues and team members at all levels.
- Demonstrated selling skills especially in explaining technical concepts and presenting project solutions to clients.
- Proficiency in project planning software (e.g. MS Project Primavera P6) and standard engineering tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and contracts fluently.
Qualifications & Experience Mechanical Planning Engineer
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in planning scheduling or coordination roles within mechanical engineering manufacturing or similar industries.
- Familiarity with modern project management methodologies and tools.
- A track record of working collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
