ملخص الوظيفة
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the department aligned with GCSE standards
Mentor and support English teachers through coaching peer observations and professional development
Use data effectively to monitor student progress and drive improvement
Promote literacy across the curriculum and develop strategies to raise attainment
Oversee departmental assessments moderation and internal/external exam preparation
Contribute to whole-school leadership initiatives and strategic planning
Foster a positive collaborative team culture within the English department
Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in English English Literature or a related field
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE . QTS)
Minimum 4 years teaching experience including IGCSE/GCSE English (A Level experience is a plus)
Proven leadership or middle management experience in a school setting
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and exam board requirements
Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills
Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development and staff training
ADEK approval or eligibility is advantageous
