The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health safety and environmental regulations and standards at our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management and a thorough understanding of industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with local laws and regulations as well as industry standards - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations - Investigate accidents and incidents and develop corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence - Provide HSE training and education to employees contractors and visitors - Maintain and update HSE records and reports and present findings to management - Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans - Liaise with government agencies and third-party organizations to ensure compliance and obtain necessary permits and certifications - Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes in regulations and make recommendations for improvements to HSE policies and procedures - Lead emergency response planning and drills and provide support during emergencies - Participate in HSE meetings and committees and provide guidance and support to other departments and teams - Promote a positive safety culture and raise awareness of HSE issues among employees - Conduct regular safety audits of equipment and facilities and ensure proper maintenance and repair procedures are followed - Monitor and report on HSE performance and make recommendations for improvement. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or a related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the oil and gas industry - Knowledge of local HSE regulations and standards - Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills - Certified in HSE training programs such as NEBOSH or OSHA is preferred.
