As a Technical/Design Manager youll be responsible for managing the design and technical aspects of building construction projects from concept through to completion. This role ensures the design is delivered to the required quality budget and schedule coordinating closely with architects engineers consultants and contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination and management of all design activities on building projects (residential commercial institutional etc.).
- Review and validate architectural structural MEP and specialist designs to ensure compliance with codes regulations and project requirements.
- Develop and maintain the project design program aligning it with procurement and construction timelines.
- Manage the design team including internal staff and external consultants.
- Conduct regular design reviews and clash detection ensuring integration across disciplines.
- Liaise with clients authorities and stakeholders to secure required approvals and permits.
- Provide technical input during tendering and construction stages resolving design-related issues.
- Monitor design changes assess impacts and manage design-related risks and opportunities.
- Ensure that the design is buildable cost-effective and aligns with sustainability and safety goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in design management on building projects.
- Strong understanding of building codes construction methods and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Proficient in design software (AutoCAD Revit BIM tools) and project management tools.
- Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills.
