We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Foreman to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Marine Foreman you will play a crucial role in overseeing marine construction and repair projects ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high safety standards.
- Lead and supervise a team of skilled workers in marine construction and repair projects
- Plan coordinate and oversee daily operations to ensure timely project completion
- Interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to guide project execution
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations environmental standards and quality control measures
- Coordinate with project managers engineers and other departments to resolve technical issues
- Monitor and optimize resource allocation including personnel equipment and materials
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas equipment and completed projects
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation progress reports and work logs
- Train and mentor team members on best practices safety procedures and new techniques
- Troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree in Marine Engineering Naval Architecture or related field preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in marine construction or shipyard operations
- Proven track record of successfully managing marine projects
- Strong knowledge of marine construction and repair techniques
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent understanding of maritime regulations safety standards and industry best practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and project management software
- Relevant marine industry certifications (e.g. OSHA safety certifications) are a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required by projects
