We are seeking a professional and reliable Light Duty Driver to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our transportation department you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport goods and materials within the city and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills a strong commitment to safety and a customeroriented approach.
- Operate light duty vehicles to transport goods and materials to various locations in Dubai and surrounding areas
- Plan and optimize routes for efficient and timely deliveries demonstrating strong organizational skills
- Load unload and secure cargo in accordance with safety guidelines
- Perform thorough pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections ensuring all safety and maintenance checks are completed
- Maintain accurate digital logs of mileage delivery times and any incidents or delays
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws safety regulations and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries representing the company professionally
- Promptly report any vehicle issues accidents or safety concerns to management
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
- Collaborate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
- Adapt to changing schedules and route adjustments as needed demonstrating flexibility
- Handle timesensitive deliveries efficiently meeting or exceeding delivery deadlines
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers license for the appropriate vehicle class
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a light duty driver
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of Dubais road network traffic patterns and local transportation laws
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication abilities
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Physical ability to lift and handle light cargo (up to 50 lbs)
- Proficiency in using GPS and navigation tools
- Familiarity with digital logging systems and basic computer skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings evenings or weekends as required
- Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
- Basic English language proficiency for communication with customers and team members
- First aid certification (preferred)
- Understanding of UAE traffic laws and regulations
