Job Description :
To help the company to achieve quality standards during the production of products.
A Quality Control Officer, is responsible for making sure that products meet a set of standards. Their duties include examining shipments of inventory and raw goods, measuring the specifications of random items in each production run and training team members to refine production quality.
A Quality Control Officer performs assessment, documentation and organization tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of their organization’s supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality
- Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
- Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
- Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
- Proposing improvements to the production process
- Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
- Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
- Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
- Ensure products meet acceptable quality standards.
- Ensure that production and manufacturing lines perform efficiently and in line with Industry Quality standards.
- Devise ways of improving the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
- Maintains computerized scale system by keeping units operational and current with formulations; monitoring and verifying records.
- Maintains factory processes and procedures to standard by using statistical methods for monitoring and charting; notifying production officers of noncompliance.
- Prepares experimental design projects by mixing test batches in laboratory Banbury or mill method.
- Releases materials by evaluating all results and visual inspection methods; determining status of non-shippable or usable material.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains stock of forms and spare parts by verifying inventory of items; notifying production manager when items are needed.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
- Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to ascertain the products meet the required quality.
- Any other duties delegated by the CEO.
Qualification :
1. A bachelor's degree in science or business-based programs.
2. Previous experience in production or manufacturing.
