We are seeking an experienced Lead Piping Engineer with a proven track record in the Oil & Gas industry particularly with ADNOC projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in piping design stress analysis material selection and project management. The Lead Piping Engineer will lead a team of engineers and designers while ensuring the highest standards of technical quality safety and client satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITEIS:
- Lead and manage a team of piping engineers and designers in the of piping system design for largescale Oil & Gas projects.
- Provide technical direction guidance and support to team members ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with project requirements.
- Oversee the development of engineering solutions maintaining a focus on technical excellence cost control and timely project delivery.
- Oversee the design and engineering of piping systems for onshore/offshore Oil & Gas projects ensuring compliance with ADNOC specifications international codes and safety standards.
- Conduct or supervise pipe stress analysis ensuring system integrity and reliability.
- Ensure proper selection and specification of materials and components in line with project requirements and industry best practices.
- Review and approve detailed design drawings isometric drawings and layouts for accuracy and compliance with ADNOC requirements.
- Ensure the smooth coordination of all piping design activities between engineering procurement construction and commissioning teams.
- Attend and lead design review meetings and project progress meetings providing technical solutions and ensuring alignment with project schedules.
- Oversee project milestones ensuring piping design deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Review and resolve any technical challenges ensuring effective risk management and project mitigation.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of piping materials and components aligned with project specifications and ADNOC guidelines.
- Review supplier documentation quotations and vendor selections to ensure the integrity and compatibility of materials.
- Lead and ensure compliance with all relevant quality control procedures safety standards and ADNOC guidelines.
- Promote a culture of safety reviewing safety hazards risk assessments and ensuring adherence to HSE policies during the design procurement and construction phases.
- Conduct design reviews and audits to ensure that all piping systems comply with project specifications and international quality standards.
- Serve as a key technical interface with clients especially ADNOC and its affiliates ensuring project requirements technical expectations and specifications are fully met.
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports progress updates and design reviews to senior management and clients including ADNOC stakeholders.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Extensive experience with ADNOC projects including direct involvement in the design and delivery of piping systems for ADNOC facilities.
- Proven expertise in working with ADNOCs engineering specifications standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in piping design software such as AutoCAD PDMS PDS or other 3D modeling tools.
- Strong experience in pipe stress analysis (CAESAR II B31.3 B31.8 etc. and familiarity with ADNOCspecific design practices.
- Indepth knowledge of material selection corrosion control and NDT practices for piping systems.
- Experience in managing complex piping design projects ensuring adherence to project schedules budgets and technical specifications.
- Strong ability to handle multidisciplinary project coordination and manage resources efficiently to achieve project goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to clients contractors and project teams.
- Ability to effectively present technical information to ADNOC and other stakeholders.
- Collaborative and adaptable with a focus on delivering results within a fastpaced and challenging environment.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent is preferred.
- Project Management certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus.
