Systems Engineer Windows Server Exchange VMware Citrix

• Design deploy and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory DNS DHCP Group Policy etc. ensuring the servers are running efficiently and securely.
  
• Manage and support Microsoft Exchange Server for email communication ensuring the availability security and performance of the email platform.
  
• Administer and optimize VMware vSphere environments (vCenter ESXi) to ensure high availability disaster recovery and resource optimization for virtualized workloads.
  
• Implement and manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops for remote access solutions providing a seamless experience for endusers.
  
• Ensure that all systems are properly patched updated and compliant with organizational policies and industry standards.
  
  

• Administer and support Windows Server operating systemsensuring optimal performance security and uptime.
  
• Perform daily monitoring of system health using tools such as VMware vRealize Operations SolarWinds or OPS Manager to identify and address any potential issues before they affect endusers.
  
• Configure manage and maintain Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environments to deliver virtual applications and desktops to endusers.
  
• Manage backup and disaster recovery operations for Windows and Exchange systems using technologies such as Veeam CommVault or Windows Server Backup.
  
  

• Perform performance tuning and optimization for Windows Server VMware Citrix and Exchange environments.
  
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues including server crashes application errors and virtual machine failures.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve networkrelated issues affecting the performance of virtualized servers and applications.
  
• Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration tasks across Windows Server and Exchange environments.
  
  

• Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support system integrations and deployments ensuring proper functionality and support.
  
• Provide second and thirdlevel support for Windows Server Exchange VMware and Citrix environments ensuring minimal disruption to endusers.
  
• Document system configurations troubleshooting steps and maintenance procedures to ensure continuity and ease of support for team members.
  
• Maintain detailed logs for incidents problems and changes for audits and reporting.
  
  

• Ensure Windows Server and Exchange environments are secured implementing necessary security patches and adhering to security best practices.
  
• Manage Exchange Server security (SPF DKIM DMARC) firewall configurations and VPN solutions for secure email communication.
  
  

• Design and implement disaster recovery strategies for Windows Servers and VMware environments ensuring critical applications and data can be restored quickly.
  
• Perform failover and backup testing regularly to ensure business continuity for all systems and applications including email virtual machines and remote access platforms.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 35 years of experience in systems administration with handson experience in Windows Server Exchange VMware and Citrix environments.
  
• Proven experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere ESXi vCenter) and management of virtualized environments.
  
• Experience managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server environments.
  
• Handson experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and Citrix NetScaler or Citrix Cloud solutions.
  
  

• Strong knowledge of Windows ServerActive Directory Group Policy and PowerShell scripting for automation.
  
• Expertise in VMware vSphere architecture including vCenter ESXi hosts and vMotion.
  
• Experience in managing and securing Exchange Server including Exchange 2016/2019 and cloudbased solutions like Office 365.
  
• Proficient in administering and supporting Citrix virtual environments including XenApp XenDesktop and Citrixrelated technologies.
  
• Familiarity with backup solutions (e.g. Veeam CommVault) disaster recovery practices and high availability configurations.
  
• Strong troubleshooting skills for server and application performance issues.
  
• Familiar with firewall and network security concepts particularly in the context of Exchange and remote access solutions.
  
  

• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure and integration with Windows Server Exchange VMware and Citrix environments.
  
• Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems.
  
• Knowledge of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for software deployment and system management.
  
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices for incident problem and change management processes.
  
• Experience with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and Azure AD integration.
  
  

• Fulltime position with occasional oncall or afterhours support as required.
  
• Some local travel may be required depending on the nature of the role.
