Job Summary:
Providing technical assurance of Field Instrumentation and Process Automation designs through application of client standards and specifications.
Ensuring design decisions include schedule and cost considerations with a primary responsibility to assure safe and quality designs.
Aligning instrumentation and Process Automation Engineering activities with clients Project Delivery Roadmap and Opportunity Realization Process.
Delivering the engineering scope for assigned projects ensuring flawless startup of Equipment and compliance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures.
Acting as lead engineer with responsibilities for all engineering deliverables.
Participating in engineering reviews witnessing of Factory Acceptance Tests and participating in safety and quality audits and field reviews.
Driving installation quality by working with the Construction team and providing technical support for commissioning and/or startup of equipment.
Ensuring project design compliance with the latest CLIENT and Industry standards.
Auditing construction field activities for compliance and assisting in resolution of field nonconformance issues.
Designing and developing innovative technical approaches to broader process engineering issues.
Providing engineering support and delivery for minor/base and medium projects and large projects.
Being accountable for engineering deliverables and engineering execution planning support.
Working proactively with the Engineering Manager to keep projects on track.
Driving effectiveness and efficiency in producing project designs.
Having mastery knowledge of recognised international and IOGP standards.
Being responsible for team workflow to ensure all priorities are met.
Having a BSc University degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Having excellent interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
Having a minimum of 8 years experience in Oil and Gas related Instrumentation and Process Control mechanical Design and Engineering with 5 years of construction and commissioning activities.
Having experience in technical support for operation and maintenance of Instrument and Process Automation.
Having experience with DCS IPS systems and field instruments.
Having a minimum of 5 years experience in Oil and Gas Project Delivery as an Umbrella Contract Lead engineer function in a multidiscipline Workforce.
Having proven leadership skills strong personal drive and clear evidence of working with others to deliver on goals.
Having strong commitment to HSSE Leadership and experience in managing HSSE throughout all project phases.
Having project management experience and the ability to work and manage in a multicultural environment.
Observing the Health Safety Sustainability Environment and Quality rules of the Company its clients and the governing authorities of the host country.
