Time Out is looking for a skilled ambitious digital editor who is both brilliant at content creation and absolutely mad about data. A key part of the Time Out Dubai team they will be a strong writer and communicator have excellent organisation skills and a proven track record of delivering worldclass content and growing an engaged digital audience.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Digital Editor will primarily be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Responsible for web traffic. Simple.
In conjunction with Time Out Dubai s Editor develop strategy for web.
Plan write commission edit and proof highquality content for web.
Ensure daily content and audience targets are met.
Analyse the performance of digital content and adapt digital calendar and strategy in response to the data.
Responsible for daily digital desking and the scheduling of content to cover weekends public holidays etc.
Regularly check and track evergreen longform content.
Produce and present regular reports.
Implement the Time Out Dubai social media strategy in partnership with the Time Out Dubai Social Media Editor
Post content to social media platforms daily.
Work with video team to create successful video content relevant to the Time Out brand.
Create content that meets individual and brand goals (e.g. engagement traffic conversion etc.).
Post digital content using our inhouse CMS.
Create bespoke digital content packages to help deliver brand editorial and commercial goals.
Work with the editor to create and manage a digital editorial calendar. Keep it current identifying commercial and audience opportunities within it and ensuring the delivery of this content.
Work with the editor to ensure ALL content reflects Time Out s overall content / editorial strategy.
Support the editor to create and deliver the digital content that supports brand products such as the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards and Time Out Dubai Nightlife Awards
Ensure Time Out s editorial standards are met all relevant copyrights have been cleared content is optimised for SEO and content meets local and legal guidelines.
Support the editor and the sales team to develop revenuegenerating content strategies.
Write and sub digital advertorials for Time Out Dubai clients when needed
Develop copy to support the commercial success of Time Out s business.
Have your finger on the pulse of the local scene; use your professional contacts and socialmedia networks to be the first to identify the next big thing and establish good relationships with PRs.
Act as an effective brand ambassador for Time Out Group and an evangelist for our brand in the market.
Meet individual weekly content volume targets as agreed with your manager (e.g. new posts updated posts new listings updated listings etc.).
Technical Competencies
Fluent in web analytics software (GA4 Chartbeat Meta Business Suite etc).
Skilled headline writer and editor with a knack for snappy clickable scrollstopping copy.
Ability to produce flawless editorial copy filled with personality but with search optimisation frontofmind.
Excellent grasp and understanding of SEO best practice.
Datadriven but understands that brand longevity wins every time.
Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.
The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry qualification
EXPERIENCE
- At least four years experience in digital media
- Strong understanding of writing for digital SEO best practice and digital marketing
- Experience working with a CMS and SEO tools
- Experience with Canva Adobe Creative suite specifically Illustrator Photoshop and InDesign (preferred)
- Understanding of the Middle East s dynamic cultural identity and a passion for new experiences.
