KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To be responsible for duty bound to both themselves and those around them to ensure
that safe practices are always adhered to whilst adopting exemplary safe behaviors per
Company HSSE policies.
2. To demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE
performance in support of the Head of Engineering Assurance accountabilities
3. To provide discipline input into Asset Integrity Brownfield Projects & Operations
/ Maintenance work
4. To provide discipline input into the Management of Change
5. To provide discipline input into Operations Risk Assessment and other risk workshops as
per Company standards and follow up on engineering related actions relating to risk
response action plans
6. To review of concession requests relating to discipline and SCE elements.
7. To serve as the barrier Owner with accountability for related SCE elements in the
Operational Performance Standard / Safety Case
8. To monitor on a continuous basis that the process facility performs within the design
envelope & associated SCE performance standards
9. To conductself asthe barrier Owner with accountability forrelated SCE elementsdeliver
the process for design verification by a third party for corresponding SCE elements.
10. To provide daytoday competent advice to the operations team within thediscipline
11. To establish the requirements for design deliverables relating to piping static equipment
and layouts for Brownfield / Modification projects
12. To ensure that codes standards and functional specifications for Process Safetydesign
elements are suitable for their corresponding applications.
13. To undertake a review of previous lessons learned consider and incorporate
appropriate learning into the design.
14. To participate in HAZIDs and HAZOPs and other HSSE related reviews.
15. To participate in Incident Investigations and Root Cause Analysis
16. To provide support for Inspection and Repair
17. To undertake base support & Offshore Travel as per assigned Rota to meet the above job
requirements and upon any requests from operations.
18. To prepare discipline engineering deliverables and provide input into scopes of work
where such work is to be executed through a Consultancy organization
19. To monitor progress of the development of design deliverables and propose corrective
actions in the event of potential schedule overrun.
20. To prepare technical and progress reports to support flow of key information to
management to assist in decision making.
21. To participate in the procurement process (e.g. ITT requisition packages) throughthe
evaluation of technical submissions including technical prequalification of vendors.
22. To support Operations in the development of the Operations Assurance Plan that
describes the operational activities assurance requirements and deliverables including
plans for readiness for handover and commissioning and approve same.
23. To assist with the development of operating manuals and ensure thatthe manualsrelating
to piping and ancillary equipment are provided as approved documents
24. To attend stipulated trainings pertaining to travelling and working offshore and pass their
examinations to allow the necessary offshore visits to the operating facilities/platforms.
