Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library resources including books periodicals and digital materials
- Develop and maintain a cataloging system for easy access to resources
- Assist patrons with finding and utilizing library materials
- Provide reference services and research assistance to patrons
- Plan and conduct library programs and events such as book clubs and author talks
- Stay uptodate with new library technologies and trends
- Collaborate with other librarians and library staff to improve library services
- Oversee the library budget and make strategic purchasing decisions Train and supervise library assistants and volunteers
- Maintain a clean and welcoming library environment for patrons
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of library systems and technologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with current library trends and best practices
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
