We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Art IGCSE Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging and effective Art lessons aligned with the IGCSE Art and Design syllabus.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners including gifted and talented students and those with special educational needs.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies such as projectbased learning inquirybased learning and technology integration to foster creativity critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation experimentation and risktaking.
- Assess student progress regularly using a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Prepare and administer formal assessments including coursework and examinations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Art curriculum ensuring alignment with the IGCSE Art and Design syllabus and the schools educational philosophy.
- Stay uptodate with the latest trends and research in art education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and highquality Art program across all key stages.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Share expertise and knowledge with colleagues through mentoring coaching and collaborative planning.
- Embrace innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and expectations.
- Build strong relationships with parents to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Organize parentteacher conferences and workshops to share information about the Art program.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Art Education Fine Arts or a related discipline; Master s degree in Education or Fine Arts is advantageous.
- Valid teaching certification in Art or equivalent qualification with a focus on secondary education.
- Minimum of 23 years of experience teaching Art specifically within the IGCSE framework or other internationally recognized curriculum.
- Proven expertise in IGCSE Art curriculum requirements assessment standards and portfolio preparation.
- Strong technical skills in various art forms a wellrounded understanding of art history and familiarity with digital art tools.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
