Job Details

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost budgets and necessary reports for each project.
• Conduct in-depth reviews of potential projects to develop an accurate understanding of potential risks, opportunities, and requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend vendors and subcontractors by analyzing price, quality, and speed of delivery.
• Prepare and present the final bid for company stakeholders, including detailed cost analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates.
• Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
• Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology.
• Assist in the negotiation of contracts and bid disputes.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Piping Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Proficient in estimating software and spreadsheet software.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and blueprints.
• Strong negotiating skills with the ability to resolve issues and disputes.
• Adept at working on multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
