General Practitioner Geriatrics

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner with a specialization in Geriatrics to join our esteemed healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to elderly patients manage chronic conditions and improve the overall quality of life for our senior community. The GP Geriatrics will be responsible for diagnosing treating and managing a variety of agerelated conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:
   

   • Conduct thorough assessments evaluations and medical histories of elderly patients.
     
   • Diagnose and treat a wide range of geriatric conditions including chronic diseases cognitive disorders and mobility issues.
     
   • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs and preferences of each patient.
     
   • Monitor and manage ongoing health conditions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
     

2. Chronic Disease Management:
   

   • Provide management and followup care for chronic conditions such as diabetes hypertension heart disease and arthritis.
     
   • Educate patients and their families about disease management medication adherence and lifestyle modifications.
     

3. Preventive Care:
   

   • Perform routine screenings vaccinations and preventive health checks to maintain and improve patients health.
     
   • Address and promote fall prevention nutritional health and mental wellbeing.
     

4. Collaboration and Coordination:
   

   • Work closely with specialists nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
     
   • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.
     

5. Patient and Family Support:
   

   • Provide guidance and support to patients and their families regarding care options treatment decisions and endoflife care.
     
   • Address and manage patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism.
     

6. Documentation and Reporting:
   

   • Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions and treatments.
     
   • Prepare and submit reports as required ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
     

7. Professional Development:
   

   • Stay current with advancements in geriatric medicine and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
     
   • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and protocols in geriatric care.
     

Qualifications:

• DHA License or Valid medical license to practice in Dubai or eligibility to obtain one.
  
• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  
• Specialty training or certification in Geriatrics or related field.
  
• Proven experience in geriatric medicine or a related field.
  
• Excellent diagnostic clinical and patient management skills.
  
• Strong communication interpersonal and empathetic abilities.
  
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and general computer skills.
