NPD Manager - Meat

Our client, a manufacturing facility based in Dubai, is looking for an all-encompassing meat NPD Manager who understands all the cuts and values of a carcass and gets the most out of the product.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the purpose of the role is to maximize profitability within the Category by leading the protein Category strategy and product innovation and managing Category performance to ensure the optimal range is maintained to satisfy the target client.

• The incumbent will oversee Category products, initiate continuous product improvement and development, negotiate terms and prices and set selling prices.
  
• Ensures the availability of the most relevant product range, which satisfies customers needs.
  
• Builds strong relationships with suppliers and ensures the best commercial terms and product prices.
  
• Works closely with internal teams to continuously optimize Category performance.
  
• Develops Category strategy by understanding the Category role and analyzing the market to assess the potential for new products and services while ensuring global and local trends relevant to target customers are reflected in the product range.
  
• Develops a strong relationship with suppliers and negotiates commercial trade terms.
  
• Negotiate cost prices by understanding the target retail selling prices (RSP) and required
  

Requirements

As a candidate, you need the following

• Degree qualified
  
• Experience in lamb, beef or pork
  
• Knowledge of global sourcing in beef, lamb, and chicken.
  
• Experience of specifically new products and value-add development of meat products is crucial(i.e. optimize the income from a whole carcass by utilizing various cuts to make value-added
  
• products that will distinguish them from their opposition).
  
• Good understanding of new food production facilities and processes.
  
• Good understanding of FMCG retail.
  Expert knowledge of all products within the protein Category (with an emphasis on meat).
  

Benefits

Remuneration attached to the position will be market-related and includes a housing allowance, car allowance, contribution to school fees (if applicable) and medical insurance. The incumbent will also participate in the bonus scheme (the bonus depends on the businesss financial performance, is capped at 50% of primary and payment is at the discretion of the Board).
