Network Architect

Network Architect is an expert level role responsible to develop network evolution strategy, periodically review the milestones and liaise with all internal and external stakeholders. Network architect must be capable of designing network solutions meeting up-to-date business requirements and leading the solution implementation until the final acceptance. Network architect is a key counterpart of the change management and configuration management processes for IP, Optics and PON domains. Expert level knowledge of IP network is mandatory, however hands on capability on another network domain is required as well. Network architect must be willing for continuous improvement and share his/her knowledge with other team members via officially organized workshops or during daily assignments.

Responsibilities

• Network evolution strategy development and implementation in line with industry best practices and business expectations.
• Fulfill SLA and OLA requirements of the role.
• Drive the strategic initiatives of department.
• Develop and defend technology business cases.
• Ensure CAPEX/OPEX efficiency targets are achieved.
• Supplier management and supplier performance evaluation.
• Ensure the accuracy and continuity of updating the centralized Data Bases and the Network Inventory
• Serve as a subject matter expert for entire network infrastructure.
• Undertake initiatives for continues network performance improvement.
• Identify training needs and nominate team members for training programs.
• Continuously share the knowledge and stay updated with the industry trends.
• Ensure active participation in employee engagement surveys.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree (Master degree is plus) in Telecommunication or Computer Engineering / IT / Computer Science or related domains from an internationally recognized University.

• >7 years of Network/IT experience with similar technology environment of IP and Optic networks
• Expert level hands on experience on IP networks
• Fluency with a wide range of modern PC desktop applications and utilities.
• Devops experience is preferable.
• CCNP or similar certifications from other recognized suppliers
• Certification in project management is preferable.
• Devops certification is preferable.
