About The Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Lifeguard role to join the Sports & Leisure Team at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort & Spa Family.

The main purpose of this position to ensure all water areas are never left unprotected during operational hours in order to maintain zero drowning by practicing preventative lifeguarding in accordance with Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program.

Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role

• Maintenance of all lifesaving equipment ensuring it is always in good working order ready for use.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness in and around the designated areas i.e. litter free beach and pool area.
• Using any machinery, equipment or dangerous substance is used in accordance with training and instruction received.
• Policing the beach, ensuring that no unauthorized people should enter the club premises.
• Maintain excellent levels of fitness as required for lifesaving responsibilities.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and good command of spoken English.
• Be aware of the fire and safety regulations and procedures at the hotel and know the evacuation procedure and the location of the evacuation meeting point.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Attend department communication meetings as required.
• Ensure that members and guests adhere to the club rules and regulations.
• Be aware of the Lost and Found policy. This is vital you adhere to the procedures as laid out in this document.
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Tertiary Education or Equivalent
• Strong swimming skills
• Able to communicate well.
• Lifeguard qualifications is essential.
