- Performing technical calculations to determine system requirements, including airflow rates and duct sizes
- Providing installation and maintenance services for equipment, such as furnaces, air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and ventilation systems
- Developing proposals to meet clients’ needs, often working with architects or engineers to design custom solutions that meet building codes and satisfy regulations
- Recommending energy efficient products, such as programmable thermostats or solar panels, that can reduce clients’ operating costs while maintaining comfort levels
- Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and requirements, then preparing proposals that meet their requirements and specifications
