RCSI are a seeking a client-side Construction Project Coordinator to join the established RCSI project team for their New Academic

Building (NAB) at RCSI’s Medical University of Bahrain Campus, in Mamana, Kingdom of Bahrain. This role will be based full-time in

Bahrain, for a minimum period of 2 years, with potential travel requirements between Bahrain and Ireland. The successful candidate

will join an established client-side project delivery team and will be instrumental to ensuring RCSI’s goals for the project are always

realised on time and on budget while ensuring RCSI’s best interests and reputation as a World Leading Health Sciences Institution

are protected at all times.

About The Project

The construction phase of the project is due to commence in June 2024, with an estimated construction duration of 24 months to

completion. The works involve the construction of a new 15,000m University Academic Building (NAB) which will link to existing

campus buildings, along with significant upgrade works to the existing buildings and associated landscaping and infrastructure

upgrades. The role will entail the day-to-day coordination of the construction elements of the project between internal stakeholders,

contractor and design team, health and safety, communications, planning and scheduling, technical oversight and reporting.

Requirements Person Specification:

• Degree qualified in engineering, architecture, surveying or similar discipline
• Minimum of 5 years PQE in a similar role
• Experience working on large complex projects collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong technical skills in construction and building services
• Professional Chartership (or working towards) with a relevant body i.e. RICS, SCSI, RIAI, MIEI etc. an advantage.
• GCC / Middle East Experience advantageous
• Experience of FIDIC Contract advantageous
• Experience of the third level education sector an advantage
