We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join the Finance team for a Regional Conglomerate Leading Group in Oman. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in accounting possess strong financial acumen and be capable of working with all levels of employees.

This position is open to male candidates of any nationality with a preference for those familiar with the Oman market.

Accountant Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other statutory filings in a timely manner.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to improve financial performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective financial management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping of financial transactions.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Accountant Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting and finance or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience as an Accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and integrated systems.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Internet Explorer.
  • Good database management skills.
  • Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Selfstarter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Omani accounting standards and regulations is a plus.
