Strategic: • The Senior Sales and Distribution Manager will develop a business plan and sales strategy for the Qatar market that ensures attainment of the company revenue targets and future profitability. • Ensure that all sales strategies are aligned with the Qatar Rail brand development to improve sales growth. • Planning and carrying out sales and distribution activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values and timescales. • Define the key strategic requirements to execute the sales and distribution strategy and support the development of the commercial platform (digital and traditional). • Undertake research when required and initiates and coordinates the development of new fare products and services to achieve revenue growth. • Using market research drives revenue growth across multiple channels. • Reporting progress against plans on a monthly basis. Operational: • Work with the MoTC in Qatar to develop the pricing strategy and fare products and ensure Fares and Pricing levels are agreed and communicated well in advance. • Ensure Fare products business rules to be tested through various sales channels as required. • Maintain and update the fare products in the distribution systems. • Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to develop the customer base through targeted promotional activities. • Work with Qatar Rail Corporate Comms to ensure a joined up approach to internal and external communication. • Develop ad hoc partnerships with distribution partners to maximize the revenue opportunities. • Work with Business Development to agree marketing activities for B 2 B channels. • Support the delivery of sales activities in stations defining and updating the sales procedures and training contents. Key essentials: • Minimum 10 years of delivering professional Sales and or Commercial environment. • Experience of working in the transportation industry highly desirable. • Experience in GCC in managing sales activities in GCC countries (desirable and not mandatory). • Experience of working in a startup or green field organisations. • A proven track record and successful working experience in traditional and digital media. • Experience in bringing new services and products through launch and delivery
