- Provide advice within the many and varied facets of Petroleum Engineering to support the Petroleum Engineering leadership team decisions and strategic planning efforts.
- Provide advice and represent our client with regard to Petroleum Engineering challenges and opportunities with industry, our shareholders, and the State of Qatar.
- Assist and support Petroleum Engineering Department strategies, tools and techniques for Reservoir Engineering, Geology and Petrophysics that will improve current processes and provide direction around improvement initiatives, new technologies, and sustainability efforts.
- Advise and/or informally lead multifunctional teams within Subsurface group and across the our client organization which are charged to implement studies and projects driven by, or significantly impacted by, reservoir knowledge and performance.
- Provide support to Asset Surveillance and Development Teams (ASTs and ADTs) activities advising them on identifying and addressing threats and opportunities relevant to their respective assets to manage reservoir performance for the long term.
- Provide support to new development project activities including leading implementation of fit-for-purpose technologies and supporting contracting/tendering efforts.
- Provide careful scrutiny and evaluation of industry Reservoir Engineering, Geology and Petrophysics related practices to determine which are appropriate and/or require adjustment to best serve our client and steward implementation of these practices.
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions to enhance existing know-how, and develop new skills needed to enhance knowledge base of the Petroleum Engineering department.
- Advise on critical functional skill needs (present and future) and help create resource development plans. Ensure adequate mentoring resources and plans are in place to continue the development of NDPs and other early career Petroleum Engineering Department staff.
