Medical Imaging Specialist

Reviewing and interpreting medical images todetermine patient status and future medicalcare. Determining the exact images required fordiagnosis and delivering orders. Administeringtrace amounts of radioactive substances to create and enhancediagnostic images. Performing minimally invasivesurgical techniques with imageguidance. Evaluating patients’ medicalhistories to ensure the various medical imaging procedures will notharm them. Suggesting alternative medical imagingtechniques, when necessary. Interpreting theresults from diagnostic imaging procedures to determinediagnoses. Communicating and discussing resultsand diagnoses with physicians. Compiling writtenreports of results and diagnoses. Followingmedical protocols for resuscitation, bleeding, infection, or otheremergency situations, when necessary. Workingwith radiology lab technicians to perfect imagequality. Working with primary care doctors,nurses and radiology technicians to administer treatment and managepain. Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans andprograms of the organization. Performs otherduties as assigned / directed by the Head of thedepartment
