Manager Health Safety - Technical Compliance and Safety

• Support management and all levels of staff with advice and guidance on matters relating to OHS and work to provide solutions and resolve problems. • Develop and implement Health and Safety best practices, ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation. • Work closely with Qatar Airways Corporate Safety to ensure policies and directives are followed. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to: • Reviewing existing policies and procedures • Coordinating and conducting OHS audits across the department. • Investigating or, where appropriate, assisting others to investigate incidents and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence, including keeping written records of the investigation and action taken. • Lead and effectively manage the OHS team and ensure all staff are fully trained and developed to deliver a service that is fit for purpose. Together, everything is possible About you • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of 8 years of job-related experience. • Diploma or Certificate in Health and Safety Management – NEBOSH • Management experience in an Aircraft Manufacturing/ Maintenance environment - preferred. • Demonstrable experience in an engineering environment • Health & Safety instructor or training experience • Experience in managing fire life safety and fire prevention. • Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 45001. • Managing a Occupational Health and Safety team within the Technical Group About Qatar Airways Group Our story started with four aircraft.
