Qualification: • Degree/Diploma in Engineering with minimum 3 years' experience in Oil and Gas industry • NEBOSH certified with NEBOSH IGC • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA legislation and procedures • Experience in waste management industry will be an added advantage Duties and Responsibilities: • Carrying out inspections of workplaces and takes necessary action to ensure compliance to HSE rules of both company and client. • Respond and Investigate concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assist in taking appropriate actions. • Investigate incidents/accidents/injuries that take place in the workplace. • Establishment of workplace health and safety committees. • Design training programs to provide safety awareness education. • Recruit and Train new HSE crew members. • Identify and monitor hazardous situations often including risk categorization. • Maintain all the necessary safety information of the company for presentation to clients and governmental organizations upon demand • Act as representative that can speak to safety and health as needed for the company. • Perform regular patrols, inspections and /or walk through of facilities/workplaces and/or properties. • Conduct toolbox meetings and other ongoing learning opportunities for staff. • Maintain yearly training program for employees and ensure all employees have up to date training records. • Maintain employee safety training records and ensure that they are up to date. • Use emergency authority when needed to stop unsafe behavior • Conduct Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Analysis.
