Egis is seeking a Graduate Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (UAE National) to join our site-based project team in Abu Dhabi. This role offers an excellent opportunity for Emirati graduates to gain hands-on experience on large-scale infrastructure and building projects while developing technical professional and site coordination skills under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Engineer Site you will:
- Support site engineers in the supervision and execution of mechanical or electrical works in accordance with project specifications and drawings
- Assist with site inspections monitoring contractor activities and ensuring compliance with approved plans standards and safety requirements
- Review shop drawings method statements and material submittals with senior engineers
- Coordinate with contractors subcontractors and other disciplines to ensure smooth site operations
- Attend site meetings and assist with the preparation of progress reports and technical documentation
- Support testing commissioning and handover activities
- Ensure adherence to HSE policies quality standards and local authority regulations
- Perform other site-related engineering tasks as required to support project delivery
Qualifications :
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
Experience
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience (internships or site training considered an advantage)
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems in buildings or infrastructure projects
- Strong willingness to learn and work in a site-based environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage
- Good command of English
