Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychologist specialising in Early Childhood to support the emotional cognitive and developmental wellbeing of young children. The role focuses on assessment intervention and collaboration with educators families and multidisciplinary teams to promote healthy development and early intervention outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments and observations for young children within early childhood settings
Design and implement individualised intervention and support plans
Provide early identification and intervention for developmental behavioural and emotional needs
Work collaboratively with teachers learning support teams and parents to support child development
Deliver guidance strategies and psychoeducation to families and educators
Maintain accurate clinical documentation reports and case records
Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and child support planning
Ensure ethical practice confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times
Support inclusive education practices and child wellbeing initiatives
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Masters degree in Psychology (Clinical Educational or Developmental) or equivalent
Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction
Demonstrated experience working with young children (typically ages 06)
Strong understanding of early childhood development assessment tools and intervention strategies
Experience working in educational clinical or early childhood environments
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication skills with children families and professionals
Skills & Competencies
Child-centred and developmentally appropriate practice
Strong assessment and reporting capabilities
Empathy professionalism and cultural sensitivity
Ability to manage sensitive cases with discretion and care
Organisational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to ethical and evidence-based practice
Preferred Experience
Experience in early intervention or inclusive education settings
Familiarity with developmental screening tools and behavioural frameworks
Experience supporting children with additional learning or developmental needs
Multilingual capability is an advantage
