About the Role

An established organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance and accounting function. This role is responsible for financial planning reporting internal controls compliance and providing strategic financial insight to senior leadership. The position requires strong technical expertise leadership capability and a hands-on approach to financial management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full finance function including budgeting forecasting and monthly management reporting

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls governance and financial policies

  • Monitor cash flow working capital and treasury activities

  • Oversee payroll coordination procurement controls and expense management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for auditors banks and external advisors

  • Provide financial analysis insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making

  • Support business planning cost optimisation and long-term financial sustainability

  • Lead mentor and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and compliance





Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline

  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA ACCA CIMA or equivalent)

  • 710 years of progressive accounting and finance experience

  • Minimum 35 years in a senior finance or supervisory role

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of financial management accounting standards and internal control frameworks

  • Proficiency in ERP systems accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

  • Strong leadership people management and stakeholder engagement skills

  • High level of integrity professionalism and commercial awareness

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments

  • Exposure to regulated or structured organisations

  • Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and compliance requirements

  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
