Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality Physics instruction that supports students in developing strong conceptual understanding analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. The tutor will prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations (e.g. GCSE A-Level IB or equivalent) ensuring measurable academic progress and fostering a passion for science.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the relevant curriculum (e.g. GCSE A-Level IB or school-specific syllabus).
Diagnose individual learning needs and tailor instruction accordingly to ensure all students meet or exceed academic targets.
Provide regular formative and summative assessments; give detailed feedback to support improvement.
Prepare students for examinations through targeted revision sessions practice papers and exam technique coaching.
Integrate digital tools simulations and practical demonstrations to enhance understanding of theoretical concepts.
Maintain accurate records of attendance student progress and performance data.
Communicate effectively with parents guardians and academic coordinators regarding student progress.
Create a safe inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in science learning.
Stay current with curriculum updates pedagogy and assessment methods in Physics education.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Physics Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).
Recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS or equivalent international certification).
Proven experience teaching or tutoring Physics at secondary or post-secondary level (GCSE / IGCSE / A-Level / IB preferred).
Strong understanding of physics concepts practical applications and experimental design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex ideas simply.

Ability to motivate and inspire learners of varying ability levels.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
