The opportunity
This role is responsible for encompassing the performance of aftermarket services and support for the installed base as well as High Voltage Products (GIS LTB AIS GCB & Power Quality) maintenance services to our utility contractor for UAE and would involve performing preventive maintenance upgrades troubleshooting and warranty repairs on High Voltage Products as well as performing commissioning activities. It also involves the development and implementation of proactive services responsive to customer requirements. The position also includes coordination of investigations of customer-reported issues and assisance to achieve equitable solutions for our customers.
How youll make an impact
- Strong knowledge of High Voltage Products Services & Service portfolios
- Carrying out Installation & Commissioning extension and Maintenance services independently. Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of mainly GIS and LTB AIS & Power Quality Solutions and routine maintenance services identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories.
- Ensuring that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed specifically he abides by the guidelines for work on live system components.
- Supervising the adherence to safety and industry acceptable practice and creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.
- Recommendation to customers for immediate and future service requirements provide feedback to Service Sales team.
- Acting as representative of the OEM during interaction with the customer and preparing the tools equipment and parts needed for a service job and understanding the scope of the job to be performed.
- Ensuring that documentation for the job is available and briefing with service manager head of department or supervisor about the expected situation on site.
- Creating service reports time sheets & delivery notes duly signed by customer.
- Acting as voice of customer back into internal engineering and quality functions. Supporting service and delivery of site activities for High Voltage Products or Equipments maintenance works.
- Effectively manages multifunctional interfaces - internal feeder factories service department customers and sub suppliers and abilities to show personal leadership & maintain a teamwork environment to deliver assignments. Strong self-disciplined approach to ensure quality and accuracy of delivery. Updating installed base in IB Analyzer (the approved service database) with the changes made at site.
- Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations respond immediately to issues and demonstrate in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote product Life Cycle Management.
- Responsible for adherence to the quality assurance requirements on the Power Plant or Substation or Oil & Gas or process Industries site and seeks to improve these continually.
- You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background
- A bachelors degree or diploma in engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience and previous experiences of 6 to 8 years in High Voltage Products or Equipments (GIS LTB AIS) Power Quality Products (PQPS) installation testing and commissioning repair and maintenance monitoring and measuring devices maintenance work of High Voltage Products or Equipments or utilities companies.
- Computer literate and excellent interpersonal written or oral communication skills.
- Relevant experiences in Transmission GIS Installation and Commissioning including Substation Services and Preventive Maintenance activities Installation & Commissioning services are added value.
- Team player with the ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally.
- Highly focused on meeting customer service and quality standards.
