Junior Mechanical Tendering Engineer

Assist in Technical and commercial Evaluation of subcontractors, suppliers, and products.
Assists in Value engineering
Assists in following project award, preparing variation orders requests
Assists in expanding the firm s range of suppliers and brands
Assists in negotiating cost with suppliers, and subcontractors
Assists in preparing material submittals
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists in managing associated cost preparation responsibilities.
Assists in preparing technical & commercial proposals.
Assists in ensuring that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.
Assists in taking responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
Assists in participating in and actively support company initiatives.
Be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements.
Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
Assists in reviewing and analyzing the mechanical tender drawings, the BOQ and the specifications of the project from beginning to the offer delivery.
Assists in analyzing the offers for an appropriate selection based on the tender documents.
Assists in contacting and negotiating with the suppliers to evaluate the best offers (quality/ price).
Assists in evaluating all materials/labors required for the project (conduits, cables, accessories, labor costs etc )
Assists in estimating the overhead and the profit based on the study of the project.
Value Engineering assessments for the project if requested.
Assists in coordinating, communicating and clarification meetings with client representatives.
Assists in managing tendering department to meet deadlines and deliver the projects as per required conditions.
All other duties as relevant to the post.
