We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance construction and engineering projects you will play a crucial role in managing costs contracts and commercial aspects of our operations.
- Administrate and implement change control including the administration of Works Order Contract Works and Purchase Orders
- Support the Project Manager and Division Director in preparing and submitting SubContractor Payment Certificates Internal & External Forecasting and Accruals
- Maintain a database of accredited subcontractors and advise on procurement strategy
- Manage the pursuit of Green Claim income liaising with specialist legal representatives and loss adjusters
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies related to Commercial processes
- Prepare detailed reports on project costs budgets and financial forecasts
- Support the Commercial Manager in achieving commercially driven objectives and monitoring Key Performance Indicators
- Promote continual improvement within the organization and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
- Advise colleagues from other departments on Commercial issues relevant to their work
- Ensure effective control and evaluation of key suppliers and subcontractors
- Conduct site visits as necessary to assess project progress and costs
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management or a related field
- Professional certification such as MRICS or MCInstCES is highly desirable
- Proven experience in quantity surveying preferably in infrastructure maintenance projects
- Strong knowledge of contract management procurement options and risk management processes
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and familiarity with specialized quantity surveying software
- Demonstrated ability to work independently meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Experience in bidding processes and proposal preparation
- Working experience in construction estimation software (CCS Candy)
- Knowledge of UAE construction industry standards practices and local building codes in Abu Dhabi
- PRINCE2 Accreditation is advantageous
- Ability to adapt to new ideas and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Conduct site visits and work flexibly when required
