Roles and responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with different teams to ensure all phases of the project are aligned and on schedule.
  • Monitor progress, adjusting plans and schedules as necessary.

• Technical Oversight:

  • Provide technical support and guidance on project design, development, and execution.
  • Ensure that engineering and technical specifications are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

• Cost Management:

  • Prepare budgets, manage project costs, and ensure the project is delivered within the allocated financial resources.
  • Evaluate and manage project risks to minimize cost overruns.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control processes and ensure that project outcomes meet established quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to assess compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

• Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that equipment, materials, and manpower are efficiently utilized.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source necessary materials and equipment.

• Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges in the project and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure that safety protocols are implemented and followed.

• Communication and Reporting:

  • Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, including project sponsors and upper management.
  • Prepare reports on project progress, challenges, and success metrics.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead project teams, ensuring smooth collaboration between engineers, contractors, and other involved personnel.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development

Desired candidate profile

• Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
  • Advanced certifications in project management or engineering-related fields are preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices.
  • Proficient in using project management tools and software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or MS Project.
  • Experience in managing engineering projects across various industries (construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, etc.).

• Project Management Skills:

  • Skilled in planning, scheduling, and executing projects within budget and on time.
  • Ability to handle resource allocation, cost control, and risk management effectively.
  • Expertise in quality control, safety regulations, and regulatory compliance.

• Problem-Solving Ability:

  • Experience in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
