We are looking to hire a QHSE Engineer in Abu Dhabi. (1 Year contract)
Job Purpose:
The QHSE Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Contract Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System ensuring continuous improvement in line with the Integrated Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QHSE management systems processes and procedures according to ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
- Communicate QHSE Management System information throughout the contract and promote HSE awareness.
- Act as the primary point of contact for QHSE matters within the contract.
- Provide training on quality management HSE and project management to employees.
- Participate in tender and project teams as the QHSE expert.
- Conduct HSE inspections and audits ensuring compliance with standards.
- Manage HSE records and prepare reports including nonconformity reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and facilitate project HSE risk assessments.
Qualifications:
- Education Level: Hold a relevant educational qualification from a wellrecognized and reputable academic institution.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in QHSE with a minimum of 2 years in a similar position preferably in an industrial environment.
- Valid UAE light vehicle driving license is a must.
- Proficient knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic built on teamwork and collaboration.
- Effective problem identification solving and improvement implementation skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/Arabic is an advantage.
