POSITION SUMMARY:
Works with an overall mission to provide technical support to site operations in Engineering and Construction activities to achieve the targets and completion of projects within budget and on time in a most efficient manner.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to the Construction Manager.
- Assist the Construction Manager in technical matters related to the Works of the Project.
- Conduct technical review of construction documents and advise Project Director on all technical related issues.
- Respond to design changes and interact with commercial, planning and contract departments.
- Management of project site technical department comprising of technical engineers and CAD Drafters.
- Manage preparation and review the technical documents such as Shop drawings, RFI’s, etc. for its submission following the submittal plans.
- Liaise and follow-through with the consultant, client, authorities and third parties to clarify technical matters and obtain necessary approvals.
- Review the technical submittals of sub-contractors for ensuring adequacy to contract requirements.
- Attend meetings with Client / Consultant / Subcontractors / Suppliers on technical matters.
- Implement control of Drawings and Technical Documents related to the Project.
- Provide engineering support to resolve technical issues if any.
- Arrange for meetings with design consultant to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures and construction problems.
- Performs other assignments associated with this position as may be appropriate and as requested by project head.
