Software Developer - Abu Dhabi School of Management

The primary purpose of this role is to support and enhance ADSMs digital infrastructure focusing on Odoo implementation and general web development using Python. The Software Developer will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our student information system supporting staff with technical issues and contributing to the overall efficiency of our academic processes through technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the ongoing implementation and customization of Odoo focusing on academicrelated modules
  Provide support to staff regarding Odoo usage and troubleshooting
  Develop and maintain Odoo modules specific to our educational needs
• Provide technical support for our Moodlebased Learning Management System
  Integrate Moodle with other systems as needed
• Provide technical assistance to staff regarding all implemented systems
  Create documentation and conduct training sessions as needed
• Develop and maintain web applications using Python and other relevant technologies
  Collaborate with the data science team on various projects

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Odoo development and customization
• Solid understanding of Python programming
• Familiarity with Moodle LMS is a plus
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
• Patient and clear when explaining technical concepts to nontechnical staff
